ANDERSON – John Anderson of Bassano, Alberta died in the Bassano General Hospital on February 9, 1990 at the age of 81 years.
He was born at Delsbo, Sweden and came to Canada in 1927 to Alberta and had been employed with the CPR for 40 years retiring as roadmaster in Bassano. He resided in numerous places in Alberta before moving to Bassano in 1967.
He married Eileen Wood in Edmonton on May 11, 1932.
He was predeceased by his wife on June 12, 1983 and a son James in 1954.
Surviving are a son Richard and his wife Kim of Edmonton and a daughter Karen and her husband Malcolm Hall of Victoria and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 14 (today) at 2 p.m. in Knox Presbyterian Church in Bassano with the Reverend Hector Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the Bassano Cemetery.
Pallbearers are John Gordon, Eric Borger, Jack Gamble, Tom Oldham, Pltt Waller and Art Simpson.
If friends desire memorial donations may be made to the Bassano General Hospital Building Fund for the Auxiliary Care Unit.
