BUTEAU – Oliver Oscar Buteau died suddenly June 26, 1966 in a highway accident near Brooks. He was 19.
Born in Brooks he received his schooling in Cassils and Brooks and for the past year was employed as rough neck on an oil crew.
Surviving him are his mother, Mrs. Marie Buteau of Cassils; five brothers, Bill and George of Calgary, Rene, Ed and Vic of Brooks; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Parks of Edmonton, Mrs. Cecil Duncan of Cassils, Mrs. Yvoenne Freundl of Brooks. He was predeceased by his father in 1947.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 28 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Brooks with Rev, (Father) S. Henke officiating.
Interment was in the Brooks Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Art Rushka. Melvin Karaki, Stan Bandure, Bob Meggitt, Dennis Nakamura and Henry Monroe.
