Gosling, Fredrick Donald

GOSLING – Fredrick Donald Gosling of Bassano, Alberta died in the Calgary General Hospital on June 17, 1990 at the age of 59 years.

He was born at Bassano, Alberta and attended Lathom School and farmed with his brother Sid.

He enjoyed curling and hockey and was a member of the Bassano Elks Club.

He was predeceased by his parents. Surviving are four sisters, Mae of Oxford, England, Mary (Bill) of Brooks, Marie of Stettler, Edith (Lloyd) of Olds; two brothers Sidney (Louella) of Bassano and Albert of Brooks, seven nephews and four nieces.

Funeral service will be held today, Wednesday, June 20 at 2 p.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Hector Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the Bassano Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Jim Kerwin, Herb Heggs, Melvin Rutschke, Don Bartman, Bernard Steinbach, Mike Steinbach, Rod Hood, Bud Stewart, Keith Young and Glen Schelske.

Active pallbearers are Laurence Gosling, Gary Gosling, Alan Gosling, Glen Gosling, Dennis Lemire and Don Berg.

If friends desire memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
