Mikalson, Conrad Wayne

MIKALSON – Conrad Wayne Mikalson, beloved husband and best friend of Agnes Mikalson, passed away peacefully at their Bassano residence on March 7th, 1999 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Fernie, British Columbia on June 20th, 1942 Wayne was self-employed in the oil industry as a Drilling Consultant. Through the years he had held many jobs in the oil patch.

Wayne is also survived by his loving daughters Glenda Piraux and her husband Tim of Calgary, Wendy Basarab and her husband Lance of Didsbury and Darla Salmon and her husband Steve of Langdon; his grandchildren who were near and dear to Wayne’s heart Christopher, Jordan, Mitchell and Kyle; his parents Birger and Regina; four brothers Ivan and his wife Chris, Clarence and his wife Judy, Gary and his wife Kim and Bill and his wife Karen; sister Brenda Rombough and her husband Terry and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12th from Knox Presbyterian Church, Bassano. Rev. Fiona Wilkinson officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are TIm Piraux, Lance Basarab, Steve Salmon, George Penner, Frank Willms and Ernie Zuba. Active pallbearers are Cal Dyck, Hank Spence, Ron Morissette, Vic Tuinenga, Joe Higgins and Leo Schnitzler. Interment to follow at Bassano Cemetery.
