Morasch, Norman Douglas

MORASCH – Norman Douglas Morasch died accidentally at Bassano, Alberta on July 29, 1985 at  the age of 36 years. He was born in Calgary and attended Mount Royal College and the University of Alberta. He managed ranches for  Manalta Holdings Ltd. at DeWinton and Medicine Hat and for L.K. Ranches at Dorothy and was currently employed by PanCanadian for the past five years. He married Mary Anne Akins in Nanton on December 5, 1970. He was a 4-H leader in Rosemary, a member of the Canadian Team Roping Association and district representative for American Breeders Service. He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret in 1982. Surviving are his wife, Mary Anne and son, Clinton Blair of Bassano; his father, John of DeWinton; a brother, George of Calgary; and numerous aunts, uncles and  other family members.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 2 at 2 p.m. in the Elks Hall in Bassano. Interment will  follow in the Bassano Cemetery.  If friends desire memorial donations may be made to the 4-H Beef Council. Smith Funeral Home is in  charge of arrangements.
