REIMER: Randall Ivan Reimer of Medicine Hat, Alberta died in Medicine Hat on June 18, 1987 at the age of 33 years.
He was born in Lethbridge and resided in Coaldale until moving to Gem in 1964 He attended school in Gem and Bassano and graduated in 1972.
He married Lorna Thorlakson on December 9, 1972 in Bassano and resided in Bassano and Gem until moving to Medicine Hat on June 28, 1979.
He was employed in the oilfield service industry and was an avid sportsman and loved the outdoors.
He was a member of the Alberta Fish and Wildlife Association, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Royal Canadian Legion.
Surviving are his wife Lorna, a son Corey and daughter Shannon, all of Medicine Hat, his parents Bill and Helen Reimer of Brooks, four brothers and their wives Gordon and Laurie of Gem, Vernon and Elaine of Bassano, Bruce and Bonnie of Brooks, and Walter and Edith of Calgary, three sisters and their husbands Dorothy and Michael Boras and Eileen and Brian Fournier of Coaldale, Luella and Reg Nelson of North Portal, Sask., his grandmother Margaret Reimer of Swift Current and numerous other family members.
Funeral service was held on Friday, June 26 at 2 p.m. in Knox Presbyterian Church in Bassano with the Reverend Hector Rose officiating. Interment followed in the Bassano Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Trent Elton, Rick Matsalla, Scott Tollestrup, Russ Mellon, Larry Carlson and Lawrence Gosling.
