Skanderup, Milton Nielsen

SKANDERUP – Milton Nielsen Skanderup died on April 9, 1993 in the Brooks Health Centre at the age of 73 years.

He was born at Blair, Nebraska, U.S.A. and came to Canada in 1930 to Tilley, moved to Redvers, Saskatchewan in 1937, to Weyburn in 1942 and returned to Tilley in 1962. He moved to Brooks in 1979 and had resided in Newbrook Lodge since.

He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, a life member of the Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute and a member of Wilderness Ranch, Claresholm.

He was predeceased by his mother Kristine on November 28,1989, his father Reverend Anton Skanderup on October 24, 1959, a brother Verne in October, 1935 and a sister-in-law Ruth Skanderup on July 2, 1991.

Surviving are four brothers, Leo (Elsie), Alvin (Martha), Clifford (Evelyn) and Verner all of Tilley; three sisters, Agneta (Nels) Eskesen of Sundre, Naomi (Ahlmann) Olsen of Redvers, Sask. and Ben (Ruth) Colbens of Tilley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Lloyd Colbens, Mark Colbens, Dennis Olsen, Jerrald Skanderup, Edward Skanderup and Curtis Skanderup.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 15 at 2 p.rn, in Bethany Lutheran Church with the Reverend Fred Haugen officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery.
