SKRIVER – Rasmus Skriver, beloved husband of Mrs. Astrid Skriver of Brooks passed away in Brooks on February 7th, 1992, at the age of 85 years.

He was born at Orsted, Denmark on July 1st, 1906, and came to Canada in 1928 to reside in Calgary and later Dickson where he married the former Astrid Anderson on July 15th, 1934. They moved to High River and resided there until moving to Tilley in 1939 where he farmed until retiring in 1977.

He had been an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Tilley, serving as president and as a Sunday school teacher for many years and following his move to Brooks in 1978, had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is also survived by his loving children, Gordon Skriver and his wife Alice, Ken Skriver and his wife Arlene all of Tilley, Bob Skriver and his wife Doris of Calgary, Margaret and her husband Bruce Daniels of Tilley, Elisabeth Daynard of Brooks, Earl Skriver and his wife Coleen of Tilley and Harland Skriver and his wife Leona of Cameroon, Africa; 18 grand­ children; six great-grandchildren; his sister Kirsten Skriver and sister-in-law Martha Skriver both in Denmark; in-laws, Alfred and Ruby Andersen and Mata and Buster Bensen all of Kevisville, AB., Anna and Chick Demenuk of Caroline and Max Olsen of Calgary; as well as several .nieces and nephews in both Canada and Denmark. Mr. Skriver was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters in Denmark and a daughter-in-law, OpeI Skriver.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Doug Skriver, Greg Skriver, Calvin Skriver, Brad Daniels, Darwin Daniels and Darcy Daniels.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brooks, on Wednesday, February 12th, at 1:30 p.rn. with the Rev. Ken Grambo and the Rev. Kart Hedlin officiating.

Interment will follow at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery.
