WESTER – Norma Jean (Jeanie) Wester died in the Brooks Health Centre on March 1, 1992 at the age of 52 years.
She was born in Calgary and raised in Lathom and Bassano. She later graduated from the University of Alberta and taught school at Tilley.
She married on August 1, 1960 in Bassano and had been a Guide captain in Tilley for many years. She was also active in the Tilley Curling Club, the library, community and the Tilley Evangelical Free Church.
She was predeceased by her parents, Leroy and Golda Bingham, two brothers, Calvin and Richard Bingham and a sister Phyllis.
Surviving are her husband, Norman of Tilley, four children, Lyndon (Shirley) and their children, Rachelle and Cassie of Tilley, Randy of Tilley, Cindy (Michael) Dahl of Clearbrook, B.C. and Susan of Tilley, three sisters, Ida McCrady of Bassano, Helen Cox of Victoria, B.C. and Carmen Laing of Surrey, B.C., two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Bingham of Bassano and Aileen Bingham of Caroline, several nieces, nephews and cousins and an aunt, Grace Beckstead of Eatonia, Wash.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 5 at 2 p.m. in the Brooks Evangelical Free Church with the Reverend Don Gillett officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Darren Skanderup, Jim Clow, Jerry Durston, Peter McCrady, Kelly McCrady and Jim Cameron.
If friends desire memorial donations may be made to the Brooks-Bassano Palliative Care Society or the Southern Alberta Bible Camp.
