Adams, Joseph Alexander

ADAMS – Joseph Alexander Adams passed away peacefully on Friday, August 31, 1990 at the age of 79 years. 
 
He leaves his beloved sister Violet MacKenzie and Marquita Autre of Brooks, his brother Eddie of Penticton and Blair of Medicine Hat. He will be greatly missed by his four daughters: Gail (Bob) Thompson of Edmonton, Joanne (Norman) Ensminger of Olds, Linda (Victor) Gold of Penticton, B.C. Hazel (Ray) Jensen of Brooks; and three sons: Wayne (Bonnie) Adams of Calgary, Bruce (Susan) Adams of Maple Ridge, B.C. and Dale (Josie) Adams of Brooks, he also leaves 22 grandchildren and three great­grandchildren. 
 
Joe was predeceased by his mother in 1945, father in 1950, baby sister Faris in 1918, baby sister Cora in 1920, his oldest brother Bill in 1936 and his oldest sister Hazel in 1982. 
 
Joe was born on October 21, 1910 at Walsh, Alberta and lived his early years around the Medicine Hat area, he worked many years logging, ranching, and was renowned for his expert ability as a sheep shearer. His love of fishing and the great times that he provided his family will be fondly remembered. An excellent violin player he passed on his love for music to his family. 
 
The memory of “Pappa Joe’s” gentle, quiet spirit will always be cherished by family and friends. 
 
Funeral service will be held today, Wednesday, September 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Alban’s Anglican Church.
