Adams, Walter Alfred

ADAMS –  Walter Alfred Adams of Bassano, Alberta died in October 23, 1982 at the age of 68 years.

He was born in the Brooks district on March 7, 1914 and employed at various ranches in the district before moving to Calgary. He worked in construction until moving to Bassano in the late 1960’s and has been employed by McKinnons since.

He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Brooks Branch No. 63.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Edna Doucett of Hefley Creek, British Columbia, Mrs. Pauline Johnson of Falkland, British Columbia and Mrs.

Lucille Jenkins of Duchess; two brothers, Pat Adams of LaRonge, Saskatchewan and Gordon Adams of Kamloops, British Columbia and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 27 (today) at 2:00 p.m. in Smith Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Hector W. Rose officiating, Interment will follow in the Brooks Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Bob Hale, Neil McKinnon, Pete McLean, Walter Smith, Marvel Eide, Bill Christianson and Jim Brodie. Active pallbearers are Mark Jenkins, Murray Jenkins, Cameron Jenkins, Wayne Anderson, Brian Murray and Ron Eveson.

If friends desire donations may be made to the Alberta Health Foundation.
