AEBLY – Mrs. Ethel Grace Aebly passed away in Brooks on June 17th, 1995 at the age of 74 years.
Ethel was born at Marwayne, Alberta on March 3rd,1921. She joined the Canadian Air Force in 1943 and served until her discharge in 1945 for the most part at PatBay, Vancouver Island. Ethel moved to Dawson Creek in 1946 and to Jenner in 1949 where she married and had resided in the community since. She had been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Medicine Hat.
Ethel was predeceased by her infant twin sister, her mother Mabel in 1934, her farther George in 1976, her sister Mildred Scott in 1985 and her brother Charlie in 1986.
She is survived by her husband Ed of Jenner, her daughters Marg (Wayne) of Trail, B.C. and Eileen (Murray) of Brooks; her son Bill of Jenner, sister Louise Musgrove and her husband Tom of Patricia; three brothers Lyman of Patricia, Steve and his wife Nadine of Tofield and Frank and his wife Joyce of Marengo, Saskatchewan; numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Funeral services were held from Smith’s Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 20th at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Shane Andrus officiated.
Honorguard were members of the EID Legion Brooks, Pallbearers were Neil White, Gene Aebly, Dan Aebly, Don Musgrove, Gordon Musgrove and Doug Andrus.
Interment followed at Brooks Cemetery. If friends desire memorial tributes may be made to either Brooks Health Centre Palliative Care or Brooks and District Ambulance Association.
Arrangements were in care of Smith Funeral Home, Brooks.
