ALBERTS – Edward Samel Alberts passed away Monday Jan 28th in the Brooks Hospital, following a lengthy illness, at the age of 75 years. He was born in Ainsworth, Nebraska, coming to Brooks in 1931 and farming in the one tree district where he has resided since, He was a member of the Modern Woodsmen Lodge.
Surviving Mr. Alberts are his wife, Minnie of Brooks; one daughter, Mrs. J .R. Dorothy Airth of DeWinton, Alta.; three sons, Samuel, James and Benton of Brooks; ten grandchildren; five brothers, George, Joseph and John of Ainsworth, Nebraska; Charles of Mills, Wyoming and William of Pendleton, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs Violet Jerred of Long Pine, Nebraska, and Mrs. Lena Robbins of Omaha, Nebraska.
Services will be held in the BrooksUnitedChurch on Thursday, Jan. 31st, with Rev. Leonard Ling officiating. Interment will be in the Brooks Cemetery with Smith Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers are Ralph Meador, Clarence Gray, Chris Ramussen, Les Robinson, Hank Houseman and Bob Harstead.
