ALEMAN – Mozes (Moe) Aleman, beloved husband of Yozina (Yogi) Aleman of Rolling Hills, passed away peacefully on April 12th, 2001 after a short courageous battle with cancer at the age of 57 years.
Born on September 20th, 1943 in Ouddorp,Netherlands Mozes immigrated to Canada in 1954. Moe and Yozina Vanderham were married on June 6th, 1969 in Medicine Hat and together raised 4 children. Moe worked at the Bow Island feed mill before moving to Seven Persons where he began the love of his life, farming. He moved to Brooks in 1978 farming the Veiner farm and in 1995 moved to Rolling Hills to run his own feedlot where he had resided since.
Moe was predeceased by his father Teunis and a brother Clarence.
Besides his wife Yogi, he also leaves behind his loving family, daughter Joyce Sagert and her husband Marvin and their children Brayden, Karly and Reece all of Brooks; 3 sons Lloyd and his wife Melanie and their children Jenna, Ashley and Shania all of Swift Current, Gerald and his wife Christa of Rolling Hills and Jim and his wife Jennifer and their children Austin, Fletcher and Chandler all of Rolling Hills; his mother Cornelia Aleman of Picture Butte; 4 brothers Casey (Jenny), Jake (Corry), Mike (Mary) and John (Bea); 5 sisters Clara (Arie) Struik, Dini (Tony) Vanne, Ann (Evert)Tanis, Betty Dykslag and Bev Aleman; 1 sister-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, April 18th at 2:00 p.m. from the Victory Church, Brooks. Rev. P.L. Bazen officiating. Active Pallbearers will be Lloyd Aleman, Gerald Aleman, Jim Aleman, Marvin Sagert, Butch Martin and Paul Wander. In memory of Moe, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, #102 Crestwood Square One, 1865 Dunsmore Road SE, Medicine Hat T1A 1Z8.
