Allen, Everett Erwin

ALLEN – Everett Erwin Allen died in the Brooks Health Centre on May 22, 1986 at the age of 81 years.

He was born at Deering, North Dakota, U.S.A. on December 12,1904 and moved with his parents, George and Carolyn Allen, to Bow Island, Alberta in 1909.

He married Annie Fodness in 1933 in Medicine Hat and moved to Brooks in 1939 where he has resided since.

He was a life member of the Brooks Elks Lodge and will be long remembered for his musical talent and his involvement in several local orchestras.

Surviving are his wife, Annie, of Brooks; three daughters, Darla and her husband, Jim Bryson, of Chase, B.C.; Delores and her husband, Jack Scott, of Brooks; Doreen and her husband, Laverne Wombold, of Medicine Hat; a son Dwayne and his wife, Isabelle Allen, of Ottawa; 11 grandchildren and two great­ grandchildren; two sisters, Irma Philpotl of Brooks and Aryle Hartman of Lethbridge; a brother, Earl, of Pincher Creek and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held in BrooksUnitedChurch on May 26 at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Yoline Conley officiating.  lnterment followed in the Brooks Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were Denver Wagar, Cal Christensen, Don Anderberg, Ercell Lindquist, Mide Osadczuk and Lyle Landon. Active pallbearers were Ed Breitkreutz, John Desjardins, Lucien Weinmeyer. Garry Weinmeyer, William Moch and Gary Straub.
