Anderson, Einar Hoi & Agnes May

ANDERSON: Einar Raymond Anderson of Brooks, Alberta died at Brooks on December 28, 1990 at the age of 65 years.

He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War and his working career was spent in foreign countries doing oil explorations.

He came to Brooks in 1981 where he has resided since.

He was a member of the E.I.D. Legion. He was predeceased by his father Einar on June 20, 1980.

Surviving are a son Rick of Calgary, his mother Agnes Anderson of Brooks, a sister Maren (Bob) Bums of Brooks, two nieces and cousins.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 2 at 2 p.m. in Smith Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Susan Lukey officiating. Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery.

Honorguard were members of the E.I D. Legion. Pallbearers were Stan Benson, Ted Tatem, Joe Volek, lan Anderson, Peter Anderson and Donald Anderson.

ANDERSON – Agnes May Anderson of Brooks, Alberta died in the Brooks Health Centre on October 5, 1991 at the age of 96 years.

She was born on June 3, 1895 at Jessyville, Ontario.

She married Einar Anderson on September 6, 1924 and lived on a farm at Tilley for seven years after which they operated the grocery store and then the Tilley Hotel until retiring to Brooks in 1965.

She was Past Master of the Eastern Star and a charter member of the Daughters of the Nile, Sakkara Temple 115.

She had resided in Newbrook Lodge and later Brooks Nursing Home.

She was predeceased by her husband Einar in June, 1980, a son Einar in December, 1990, a brother Watson and a sister Vinnie.

Surviving are a daughter, Maren (Bob) Burns of Brooks; two granddaughters, Kim (Eric) Atkinson of Edmonton and Kelly Burns of Calgary, a grandson Rich Anderson of Calgary and numerous nieces and nephews in Alberta and Ontario.

Funeral service was held on Thursday, October 10 at 2 p.m. in Brooks United Church with the Reverend Susan Lukey officiating. Interment followed in Brooks Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bob Burns, Stan Benson, lan Anderson, Peter Anderson, Donald Anderson and Rick Swanson.
