Anderson – Elmer Anderson a former Rolling Hills and Scandia resident, Elmer Odin Anderson of Brooks, died in the Brooks General Hospital on March 15, 1975 at the age of 82 years.
He was born in Minnesota and moved to South Dakota as a child, growing up there. He moved to North Dakota and came to Robsart, Saskatchewan in 1913. He met and married Ellen Ollafson there in 1923 farming there until 1951 when they moved to Rolling Hills. He lived at Rolling Hills and Scandia where he farmed until retiring to Brooks in 1962 residing here since.
He was an active member of TrinityLutheranChurch in Brooks.
He was predeceased by a son, Lowell in February 1963.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen Anderson of Brooks; three daughters, Mrs Donald (Eileen) MacDonald of Calgary, Mrs. Marville (Delores) Skaret of Armena, Alberta; four sons, Mervin of Edmonton, Leland and Neil of Brooks and Ronald of Calgary; 27 great-grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18 at 2 p.m. in TrinityLutheranChurch in Brooks with Pastor D. C. Berg officiating. Interment will follow in the Brooks Cemetery.
If friends desire donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund.
