JERRY R. ANDERSON – Jerry R. Anderson of Stavely, Alberta died in the HolyCrossHospital in Calgary on October 7, 1985 at the age of 75 years.
He was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on April 6, 1910. He was employed on a farm and ranch in the Swift Current area in the early 1950s and later at Charlton’ s sales yard and Bow Slope Shipping in Brooks and for Safeway Shelter Systems in Claresholm for 10 years.
He married the former Dora Trainer in Cardston in September 1969 and has resided in Stavely until his passing.
He was predeceased by a sister Madelene in 1921.
Surviving are his wife Dora of Stavely; one son Gerald and his wife Lynn Anderson of Stavely; two grandchildren, Robert and Tanya; one step-daughter, Mrs. Marcella Skene of Calgary; two step-sons, Norman and Ronald Rossum of Calgary; three brothers, Joe of Brooks, Albert of Grand Centre and George of Calgary; and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Noble of Shellbrook, Saskatchewan.
A memorial service was held at the StavelyUnitedChurch on Thursday, October 10 at 2 p. m. with the Reverend William Wright officiating. Cremation.
