ARCHIBALD – W. Roy Archibald of Brooks, Alberta died on May 15,1980 in the Brooks Health Centre at the age of 73 years.
He was born at Lumsden, Saskatchewan on December 10, 1906 and attended school at Watrous, Sask.
He married the former Olive McNair in Saskatoon and moved to Regina, Sask., where he resided until 1976, when he retired to Brooks residing here since.
Surviving are his wife, Olive of Brooks; one daughter, Mrs Stan (Marion) Cragg of Brooks and one son Donald Archibald of Calgary; eight grandchildren and one brother, Ashton Archibald of Big River, Sask.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 20 at 2:00 p.m. in Smith Memorial Chapel with Rev. George G. Scott officiating. Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Harvey Anderson. William Beck, Norval Shuttleworthy, Ralph Wester and John Neufeldt. Active pallbearers were Bob Baxter, Carl Beck, Bob Beer, Gordon Matson, Len Rowe and Dick Schindeler.
