BAKSA – Kathleen Baksa long time resident of Brooks, passed away in the Brooks Hospital on April 19, 1967. She was 66.
Born in Hungary she immigrated with her parents to Leatoch, Sask. in 1905.Sher married in 1919and moved to Taber in 1971 with her husband and family. She moved to Brooks in 1945 were she has since resided.
She is survived by one son James Baksa, Brooks; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Soltesz, Osoyoos, B.C., Mrs Matilda Till, Brooks, also 12 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband on 1955 and two sons and one daughter. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Grace Horvath, Leross, Sask., Mrs. Elizabeth Kovac, Endeavour, Sask. and Mrs Irene Nemeth of Mission City, B.C.
Funeral services were held from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Brooks on Monday, April 24, 1967 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Father S. A. Henke officiating, Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction on Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were John Hollinda, Louis Korosl, George Sekura, Albert Simo, Joe Hajash and Julius Csoszor.
