BACON – A well-known resident of Brooks, Hazel Sophia Bacon, passed away in the Royal Alexander Hospital, Edmonton August 5, at the age of 52 years following a lengthy illness.
Born in Loreburn, Sask., June22, 1913, she lived there and in Moose Jaw until 1949 when she came to Brooks district where she has since resided.
She is survived by her husband Rudolph Bacon of Brooks, two sons, Donald of Red Deer and Terry of Brooks; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Alberts of Brooks and Miss. Judy Bacon of Brooks, also six grandsons, two sisters and four brothers
Funeral service was held from the Brooks United Church on August 10, 1965 at 2:00 p.m. with Robin Hartley officiating. Interment was in the Brooks cemetery; funeral service under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Alfred Aasen, LeRoy Wright, Gordon Hanson, Steve Mrakava Jr., Richard Graham and Charles Trifanenko.
