Tilley resident dies suddenly

A resident of the Medicine Hat-Tilley district for many years. Leslie (better known as  Brigham) Bainbridge died suddenly August 20 in Tilley. He was 55.

 

Born in Medicine Hat, he attended school in Redcliff.  During World War Two he served in the Canadian Army and later was employed by Dominion Class factory in  Redcliff for a few years but mostly on ranches and farms in the area.

The late Brigham Bainbridge came to Tilley five years ago where he has resided since.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Maria Bainbridge of Victoria, B.C. and a sister Mrs. Roy Chapman, also of Victoria

Funeral service was held in Smith Funeral Chapel on Tuesday. August 24, 1971 at 2:00 pm with Rev. C. W. Hutton officiating and interment followed in Brooks Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Don Wolfer, Ken Sinclair, Vince Fabian, Russell  Charles, John  Charles and Ivan Russell. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
