BAKER – A long time resident of the district, Charles George Baker passed away in the Brooks hospital on February 12, 1967. He was 76.
Born in England he came to Medicine Hat in 1912. He served overseas with the Canadian Army.
He came to Brooks in 1939 and was employed at the Brooks Hotel. Upon his retirement he spent a few years in Vernon, B.C, and then returned to Brooks where he has been a resident of the Newbrook Lodge.
He was a member of the EID Branch, Royal Canadian Legion.
Funeral services were held from Smith Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, February 14th with Rev. Doug Jackson officiating and interment followed in Brooks Cemetery.
