Bauer, Gregory John

BAUER – Gregory John Bauer of Brooks, Alberta died suddenly on February 22, 1990 at the age of 16 years.

He was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on March 1, 1973 and lived in Iran, Scotland and Edmonton and has resided in Brooks for the past 13 years.

Greg loved and enjoyed music and being part of the band as well as his comic collection, wrestling, hockey, art and writing short stories and poems.

He was employed at the Brooks IGA at the time of his passing.

He was predeceased by his step-father Bob Seely in December 1989, his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. De Kok and grandfather John Bauer.

Surviving are his loving family, his mother Mary-Ann Seely of Brooks, a sister Lisa Bauer of Brooks, his father Bernie (Doreen) Bauer of Sherwood Park, Auntie Herman (Johnny) and cousins Megan and Shannon of Chilliwack, B.C., his grand­mother Julia Bauer of Wetaskiwin, Alberta and numerous aunts, uncles and his many special friends.

Funeral service was held on Monday, February 26 at 1 :30 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Ken Grambo and the Reverend Rick Bergh officiating.

If friends desire memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Childrens Hospital in Calgary.

Pallbearers were Jeff Johnson, Jess Malinksy, Brandon Oberhamer, Rob McLaughlin, Rob Lovsin and Leroy Slomp.

Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery.

Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
