Beasley, Carl Jones

BEASLEY – A widely known resident of the Eastern Irrigation  District and a resident of Patricia since 1919. Carl Jones (Fete) Beasley died Monday, November 30, 1964 in a farm fire at Patricia, He was 74.

Born in Longmont, Colorado in 1889, he came to the Patricia district 45 years ago, farming and ranching until 1962 when he retired and remained on the farm until the time of his death.

At one time Pete Beasley was recognized as one of the largest sheep ranchers in the district.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah, of Brooks; six daughters Mrs. Iema Ponting, Vancouver; Mrs. Jessis Lindstrom, Vancouver; Mrs Yvonne Robinson, Patricia; Mrs. Violet Robinson, Brooks and Mrs Maxine Dear, Banff; six sons; Lee, Patricia; Verlin, Brooks; Floyd, Brooks; Jay, Roselynn; Leonard, Brooks; Fred Dawson Creek, BC; 30 grandchildren.

Services will be conducted by Rev. L. Ling in BrooksUnitedChurch on Saturday, December 5 at 2 p.m. and interment will be made in Brooks Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
