BEIELER – A well known resident of the irrigation district; Alfred Edward Beieler died on July 7, 1967 in Brooks General Hospital after a short illness. He was 66.
Born in Switzerland on December 01, 1900 he came to Canada in 1913 to the Medicine Hat area. He worked there until 1917 when he moved to Imperial Colony. Mr. Beieler farmed for 33 years prior to moving to Brooks.
He was employed by the County of Newell as construction superintendent.
Surviving are his wife, Kay of Brooks, one son, Stan of Edmonton and three grandchildren.
Funeral service was conducted by Mr. Robin Hartley of Brooks United Church in Smith Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m. and interment followed in Brooks Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Bill Carson, Les Connors, Norval Shuttleworth , Jim Neely, Les Bailly and Joe Weis.
