BEISIEGEL – A native of Chicago, Illinois, Arthur Ernest Ray Beisiegel, passed away at Newbrook Lodge, Brooks, on February 15. 1964, at the age of sixty-six years.
Mr, Beisiegel came to Cayley, Alberta, with his parents in 1904. He later homesteaded in the Steveville area and moved to Patricia in 1926, where he was employed by the irrigation department of the C.P.R.
When the Rolling Hills area was settled the late Mr. Beisiegel was transferred to that district by the Eastern Irrigation District. Upon his retirement in 1961 he moved to Brooks.
He is survived by one brother, Lester, of Chicago; one sister, Mrs Hazel Lavoie, of Medicine Hat; and an aunt, Mrs. J. H. Person, of Wardlow, Alta.
Funeral services were held from BrooksUnitedChurch on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at two o’clock, with interment in Brooks Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers were J. Vrbicky, F. Olin, J. Lawson, F. Heidt, B. Hosler and D. Berger. Active pallbearers were Bud Waddell, Q Donovan, B. Sagstuen, N. Pelchat, H. Dressel and Roy Holser.
