BERG —Anna Martha Berg of Brooks, beloved wife of the late Henrik Berg, passed away in Brooks on December 1st, 2006 at the age of 88 years. Born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on November 13th, 1918 Anna received her education there. She moved to Millicent in 1936 and married Henrik in 1937. They spent a few years in the Peace River area before coming back to the EID area. Anna worked for various businesses around Brooks, her favorite being at the Bow Valley Vet Clinic. She will be remembered for her personality, sense of humour, volunteering and her ability to talk to anyone. Anna loved her family, especially her grandchildren, tile rummy and plants. She was predeceased by her husband Henrik, December 26th, 1996, 1 sister and 4 brothers. Anna is survived by her loving family, 4 children, Albert (Elsa) of Vernon, Adelina (Ben) Petersen of Nanton, Barry (Della) of Brooks and Bernyce Groot (Gary Henkel) of Brooks; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 sisters; 1 brother and numerous other family members. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5th from Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. John Theiss ofﬂclated. Honorary Pallbearers were Albin Janko, Don Berg, Glen Berg, Rand Berg, Shawn Campbell and Tom Million. Active Pallbearers were Burt Petersen, Karl Groot, Kory Berg, Dave Dressell, Devin Fisher and Quinton Fisher. Interment followed at Brooks Cemetery. In memory of Anna, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Brooks and District Health Foundation for Long Term Care, Bag 300, Brooks T1R 1B3.
