Bettany, Albert Edward

BETTANY – Albert Edward Bettany died February 21, 1976 in Medicine Hat General Hospital at the age of 74 years. Born in Lankershire, England, Mr. Bettany came to Windsor in 1926 where he worked for the Ford Motor Company for 22 years.

While in Windsor he was the bandleader of a large brass band. In May of 1975 Mr. Bettany moved to Brooks to live with his daughter. While in Brooks he worked for Paskall Plumbing as an accountant.

Mr. Bettany was predeceased by his wife, Marianne in 1974 and a son, Stan in 1973.

Surviving are three sons, Ted and Dale of Windsor and Allan of Brooks; one daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Jane) Schultz of Brooks, five grand children and a brother, in England.

Service was held January 26 at 2:00 p.m. in Smith Memorial Chapel with Rev. C.E. Mortimer officiating, Interment followed in Brooks Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dale Bettany, Allen Bettany, Kurt Oullette, Les Oliver, Doug Bouchner and Bruce Schultz.

Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
