BLAIR – Elizabeth Smyth Blair of Duchess died on April 27, 1975 in Brooks Genera Hospital at the age of 73 years.
She was born in Slatt, Northern Ireland and was married on Port Rush, Northern Ireland in 1919. She came to Crandall, Manitoba in 1927 and moved to Suchess in 1960 where she has resided since.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert John Blair on June 22, 1966.
She is sadly missed by her loving children of which there are thirteen; six daughters, Mrs. Ray (Lillian) Espey of Rivers, Manitoba, Mrs. Clarence (Jean) Madill of Edmonton, Mrs. Duncan (Isabel) Anderson of Carberry, Manitoba, Mrs. Daisy Ryan of Calgary, Mrs. Reg (Florence) Sparrow of Taber, Mrs. Dorothy Anne Blair of Calgary; seven sons, Robert Hugh of Calgary, David James of Taber, John Joseph of Calgary. Roland R. of Calgary, Herbert Melton of Brandon and Roy Edwin of Duchess; 48 grandchildren and 26 great—grand children and one sister, Nan Aylt of Queensland, Australia.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. in Brooks Unites Church with Rev. G. G. Scott officiating. Interment followed in the Brooks cemetery.
Pallbearers were George Slatter, Ken L. Torkelson, Marlin M. Brubaker Sr., William Gomke, Hugh Bevan and George Bellanance.
