BOOTH – Cleo Loretta Booth passed away in Medicine Hat on May 7th, 2000 at the age of 71 years.
Born in Coronation on December 31st, 1928 Cleo received her early education there and her R.N.A training in Calgary. She worked in various hospitals in Alberta and at the Brooks Health Centre from 1971 to 1989. Cleo married Bill Booth on November 15th, 1949 in Calgary and resided in Tilley until moving to Brooks in 1973 and to Medicine Hat in 1997 where she had resided since. Cleo loved her family, her church, church activities, friends, gardening and travelling. She will be remembered for her generosity and her honesty.
Cleo was predeceased by her husband Bill on February 13th, 1986, sister Pauline and brother Marvin.
She is survived by her loving children, son Gordon and his wife Emilie and their children Susan and Brian all of Edson and daughter Laura Drever and her husband Ian of Calgary; brother Delben (Lorna) Elliott of Coronation; sister-in-law Ruby (Charlie) Simpson of Brookdale, Manitoba and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 11th from TrinityLutheran Church. Rev. John Theiss officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Hjorth, Nels Hjorth, Erland Christiansen, Alvin Skanderup, Gordon Neilsen, Carl Hendricksen and John Buday. Active pallbearers will be Gerald Elliott, Donald Elliott, Leslie Elliott, Ralph Elliott, Larry Regner and Stan Pedersen. Interment to follow at Brooks Cemetery.
