Borth, Theodor

BORTH –  Theodor Borth of Brooks, Alberta died on October 23, 1979 in the Brooks Health Centre at the age of 70 years.

He was born at Walsh, Alberta and farmed there until 1950 when he moved to Medicine

Hat. He moved to Brooks in 1960 where he has resided since.

He was employed by the Corono Hotel in Medicine Hat and the Newell and Brooks Hotels in Brooks.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy and family of Brooks; six sisters, Mrs. Sam (Emma) Miller of Medicine Hat, Mrs. Fred (Elsie) Hink of Medicine Hat, Mrs. Bill (Alma) Spence of Vancouver, B.C., Mrs. Pete (Clara) Neufeld of Vancouver, B.C. , Mrs. Norm (Eva) Bauman of Calgary and Mrs. Vic (Frieda) Repp of Calgary and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held on Friday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m. in Smith Memorial Chapel with Pastor D.C. Berg officiating, Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were Wilbur Doble, Bob Burns, Dave Ward, Gene Bent, Art Stephens and Alberta Meiers. Active pallbearers were Gary Bauman, Mervin Hink, Nels Pedersen, Laveren Liillehei, Wayne Lillehei and Jim McBride.

Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
