BOTHI – Steve Bothi of Brooks, Albert, died suddenly on October 25, 1985 at the age of 61 years.
He was born at Romacsahaza, Scobloc, Melye, Hungary and came to Canada in 1930 to the Taber district and to Brooks in 1932. He farmed in the district until moving to the Town of Brooks in 1974. He was currently farming in the Lathom Bassano district.
He was a member of the Brooks Elks Lodge No. 77 and a musician supplying music for the Brooks Elks Patrol Team for many years. He was also a member of the Alberta Wheat Pool.
Surviving are his wife Rose of Brooks; a daughter Rose-Marie of High River; two sons, Ernest of Brooks and Steven and his wife, Lynda and children Steven and Kimberly of Bassano; and a cousin Mary Sebok of Taber.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29 at 2 p.m. in Brooks United Church with the Reverend Yoline Conley officiating. Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Baksa, Albert Gosling, George Sebok, Elmer Buck, Don Wolfer and Bill Tell Sr.
