BRADSHAW – The funeral of the late Mrs. Agnes Elizabeth Bradshaw (nee Thorpe) was held from the United Church at Brooks last Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. R.R.Hinchey officiated.
Mrs. Bradshaw was born in Edgerton, Ontario and came to Brooks with her family in 1911. They lived here for some time, later moving across the river to Wardlow, where she remained until her illness which came suddenly a week ago last Sunday. She was rushed to the Hanna Hospital and died two days later at the age of 66 years.
Mrs. Bradshaw was predeceased by her husband in June 1915. She is survived by two sons, Cliton of Rossland, B.C. and Jack of Wardlow and three sisters, Mrs. W.W Johnston of Forest River, N.D., Chas. Duncan, Glen Ewen, Sask. and Mrs. J.A. Boyd of North Battleford; four brothers, Samuel in New Westminster, B.C., Fred in Detroit, Harry in Kenora, Ont. And William in Sidney, B.C.
She leaves behind as will a large circle of friends in her prairie home in Wardlow. Evidence of the high esteem in which deceased was held was shown by the large number who came from a distance to pay their last respects.
Pallbearers were: Norman and Ed Stafford, Brooks; Emil Sandgathe, Calgary; Dr. W.G. Anderson, Wardlow; R. Irwin, Patricia; H. Zier, Wardlow.
W.D. Ingram was funeral director and interment took place in Brooks Cemetery.
