BRUUN – Chris Bruun of Brooks, beloved husband of Lillian Bruun, passed away on August 1 st, 1990, in Brooks at the age of 85 years.
Mr. Bruun is also survived by his loving daughters, Rachel Pronyshyn of Claresholm and Betty, and her husband Ian Sewall of Fox Lake; seven grandchil dren, Julie and Andrew of Claresholm and Jeremy, Fraser, lan Clay, Sine and Sylvia of Fox Lake two sisters, Maren and Anna and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born at Kastrup, Denmark, he came to Canada in 1928 to Standard where he worked on his uncle’s farm.
He married the former Lillian Dyer in 1939. Through 51 years of marriage, Chris was involved in the restaurant business, farmed at Banff and Rockyford, was employed as a Rawleigh dealer, worked for the Western Irrigation District, retiring from farming to Brooks in 1964. He had always been an avid gardener and fisherman.
Funeral services were held from the Brooks United Church on Saturday, August 4th, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Susan Lukey officiating. Interment service followed in the Brooks Cemetery.

Chris will be lovingly remembered as a fine husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by both family and friends. His life was characterized by honesty, integrity and deep affection for all living things.
Pallbearers were Andrew Pronyshyn, Jeremy Sewall, lan Sewall, Dennis Dyer, Garry Carter and Sandy Semanshkewich.
