BUNN – Mark Lewis Bunn of Brooks, 49 year old son of the late Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Bunn of Brooks, passed away suddenly last Friday, August 25 while driving to Medicine Hat with a friend. He had been in precarious health for several years and had spent a month in the local hospital this spring.
Mark was born at Hoople, North Dakota and came to Canada with his parents. He assisted his father on the farm for many years and for the past few years had been employed by the Eastern Irrigation District. He has a friendly nature and had many acquaintances in the district. His skill at contract bridge made him widely sought as a partner.
His parents both passed away within a few months after celebrating their golden wedding anniversary here on August 6, 1943. Surviving are one brother, Rex, of Calgary; a sister, Mrs. H. Gravette of Millicent; a sister, Mrs. Leo Navet of Santa Barbara, Calif. and another sister, Mrs. Leonard George, of Yakima, Wash.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. S. Evans at St. Alban’s Church, were held on Tuesday, August 29 and burial was made in the Brooks Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ed. Stafford, Clarence Gray, C.R. de la Vergne, W. Seeger, J.H. Edwards and Jack Cann. Pattison’s Funeral Home Medicine Hat had charge of funeral arrangements.
