Burton, Robert Arthurr

BURTON – Robert Arthur Burton  of Brooks, beloved husband of Fae  Burton, passed away after a long  battle with cancer in Brooks on May  18th, 2002 at the age of 55 years.  Born in Kimberley, British Columbia  on January 7th, 1947, Bob received  his education in Tilley, Rolling Hills  and graduated in Brooks. He married  Fae Bushey on March 20th, 1971  in Brooks and resided in Scandia  operating the Scandia Lumberyard  from 1972-1994. They moved to  Brooks in 1995 and Bob worked for the County of Newell. He loved  his family, fishing, woodworking  and Sunday drives. He will be  remembered for his willingness to  help, his sense of humor and for  being jack of all trades. Bob was  predeceased by his parents Florence  in 1955 and James in 1989. He is  survived by his loving family, wife Fae; 2 daughters, Heather Hagen and her  children Kendall and Ethan and Ellen Burton all of Brooks; sister Barbara  Burton of Medicine Hat; 2 brothers James (Doreen) Burton of Brooks  and David Burton of Medicine Hat; 3 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law and  numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on  Wednesday, May 22nd from the TrinityLutheranChurch. Rev. John Theiss  officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Bob’s family and friends. Active  Pallbearers will be Collin Burton, Kevin Burton, Jason Robinson, Darcy  Stolson, Kevin Stolson and Brad Stolson. Interment to follow at Brooks  Cemetery.
