BUZOGAN – A former Patricia resident, Josephine Buzogan died in December 16, 1982 in the Calgary General Hospital at the age of 75 years.
She was born in Cologne, Germany and was raised in Budapest and Bucharest and came to Canada in 1933. She married at Brooks on April 24, 1933 and famed in the Patricia district with her husband until moving to Calgary in 1969 where she has resided since.
She is well known for her handicrafts, especially petit point and feather craft and was also an avid coin collector.
She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Buzogan on August 29, 1970 and one daughter, Mrs. Velma Banister in 1973.
Surviving are on son Dan of Patricia; one daughter, Mrs. Josephine La Pointe of Calgary, eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren two brothers, Nandor and Bala Nemethy, both of Calgary and a sister in Romania.
Prayer service was held on Friday, December 18 at 7 p.m.in Smith Memorial Chapel Funeral service was held on Saturday, December 19 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. F R. Mongeau officiating. Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wayne La Pointe, Bob La Pointe, Ken La Pointe, Toll Banister, Clyde Johnson and Walter Lychak.
