CHURCH – Mildred Jorgina Church of Brooks, Alberta died in the Calgary General Hospital on July 28, 1989 at the age of 75 years.
She was born February 15, 1914 at Hersey, Wisconsin, U.S.A. and moved with her parents as a small child to Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, U.S.A. and later to the Bingville district in Alberta. She married in 1936 and resided in Medicine Hat until her separation when she moved to Tilley and has been a resident of Brooks and district since 1940.
She was predeceased by her father in 1938, her mother in 1972, her step-father in 1971 and a brother Hartman Peterson in1978.
Surviving are a daughter Flora (Hugo) Leentvaar of Edmonton, two grandsons, one great-grandson, two sisters, Ruby Springer of Brooks and Edith (Jack)
Courier of Calgary, sister-in-law Peggy Petersen of Medicine Hat and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 2 (today) at 2 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Rick Bergh officiating. Interment will follow in the Brooks Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Terry Shepherd, Vern Lillehei, Rob Connelly, David Houseman, Ken Ellingson and Bob Burns.
