He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and came to Brooks with his parents attending school here.
He was active in cubs and scouts and received his Queen’s Scoufbadge.
He attended the University of Alberta at Edmonton and graduated in 1975. Since graduating he also completed several post graduate courses.
He married Carmen Fitchett in 1974 at High River and resided at Drumheller before returning to Brooks in 1976 where he has resided since.
Surviving are his wife Carmen and son Cole; his parents Alice and Bill and sister Deborah all of Brooks and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins among them Lil and Frank Warwick of Calgary.
Funeral service was held on Friday, September 5 at 2 p.m. in the Immanuel Assembly with the Reverend Dean Knutsen officiating. Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Delday, Oswald Schalm, Mervin Mediwake, Gerald Skanderup, Ken Untott and Joe Hajash.
