Davidson, Arthur Edward

DAVIDSON- Arthur Edward (Slim) Davidson died in the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Janaury 14, 1987 at the age of 69 years.

He was born at Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan and married Irene Sibley on October 11, 1945 at Milk River, Alberta.

He worked in various places until moving to Buffalo in 1951 and farmed and ranched in the district until retiring to Brooks in October, 1986.

He was a member of the Rural Crime Watch and served on the Empress Hospital Board.

He was predeceased by his brothers Archie Davidson in 1933 and James Brooks in 1952.

Surviving are his wife Irene of Brooks, two sisters Emma Nash of Edam, Saskatchewan and Betty Danylyshyn of Victoria, a sister-in-law Eleanor Brooks of Livelong, Saskatchewan and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held on Monday, January 19 at 1:30 p.m. in Smith Memorial Chapel with Dr. L.E. Anderson offiCiating. Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were Joe Gilchrist, Arnold Rubbelke, Gib Gilham, Myrtle Venables, Edna Silverthorne and Violet Stone. Active pallbearers were Pat Gilham, Allison Rubbelke, Don Gilham, Morley Barry, George Mercer and Alfred Jones.
