DECLERCQ – Melanie Estelle Lorraine (White) passed away suddenly as the result of a tragic automobile accident on July 19, 1990 while vacationing with her mother and sister at Kaslo, B.C.
Melanie was born on July 27, 1982 at Carbonear, Newfoundland and moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1983. She moved to the farm in Lomond, Alberta in January, 1985 where she resided until just one week before her death when she moved to Brooks.
Melanie was a joy to her family and friends and so delighted in life and the things of the Lord. Although we will miss her so very much here on earth we draw strength from knowing that she is safe and happy in the arms of Jesus, anticipating the joyous reunion with her mother Carrielynn Decleroq and her sister Jennifer Lynn (10) of Brooks. Also surviving is her step-father Firmin Declercq of Lomond, her step-brother Tom of Lomond and step-sisters Diane, Monique, Carol and Linda, maternal grandmother Margaret Kimberley of Edmonton, Aunt Melinda, Uncle Pat Wotke and Cousin Tiffany of Edmonton, Uncle Rene and Moona Barnes and cousins Scott, Craig, Kassandra of Grande Prairie and Aunt Lauri Kimberley and cousin Chandler of Vancouver, B.C.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 25 (today) at 2 p.m. in the Victory Church in Brooks with Pastor Bill Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Brooks Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are Ivan Wigemyr and Ed Sitler. Active pallbearers are Kevin Martin, Brent Martin, Jake Eckert, Jim Smith, Jeff Parker and Gerald Skanderup.
If friends desire memorial donations may be made to the Victory Church of Brooks, Children’s Ministery.
