Dick, Herbert Arnold

DICK – Herbert Arnold Dick of Brooks, Alberta died in the Brooks Health Centre on  March 29, 1985 at the age of 77 years. He was born at McCluskey, North Dakota, U.S.A. and came to Canada  in 1934 with his parents to Makepeace, Alberta. He worked on a farm in the Cassils district and married in Brooks on May 21, 1947. He  was employed with Kleenbirn Colleries at Bow City and  retuned to Cassils in 1950 and farmed until retiring to  Brooks in 1968. He drove a school bus for 16 years and was an avid horseman having a special love of horses all his  life. Surviving are his wife,  Betty of Brooks; one daughter, Betty Lou and her husband, Bill Bildersheim of Brooks; four sons, Tom Hart  and his wife, Bonnie of  Brooks, Wes and his wife, Danna of Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Larry of Regina and  Dick of Brooks; four grandsons and six granddaughters;  two sisters, Mrs. Esther Scheleske of Calgary, and Mrs. Bertha (Bert) Halverson of  Medicine Hat and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 2 at 2:00 p.m. in Smith Memorial Chapel with Pastor Chuck Gorectke officiating. Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery
