DOWLING – Marjorie Joyce Dowling of Brooks, Alberta died in the Brooks Health Centre on January 23, 1988 at the age of 59 years.
She was born at Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on May 26, 1928 and moved to Goderich, Ontario in 1938.
She came to Duchess in 1946 and married in Brooks in 1947 and farmed in the Duchess district until 1973. She was employed at the Newell Hotel for several years and the Brooks Health Centre for the past seven years.
She was predeceased by her husband Keith on December 9, 1977, her parents Laura and David and brothers, Norman, Benson and Kenneth.
Surviving are three daughters, Rosalyn and her husband Lawrence Sagstuen of Calgary, Ronda and her husband Harley Endersby of Brooks and Karen Bannister of Red Deer, a son Darwyn of Brooks, seven grandchildren, four sisters, Anna Berg and her husband Henrik of Brooks Mayme Wolff of Goderich, Ontario, Mildred Jacobsen and her husband Einar of Calgary and Gwendolyn Janko and her husband Albin of Brooks, three brothers, Thomas (Anne) Million of Calgary, William (Phyllis) Million of Goderich, Ontario and David (Barb) Graham of Medicine Hat and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Thurs., January 28 at 2 p.rn. in Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Ken Grambo officiating. Interment will follow in the Brooks Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Hansen, Gordie Hansen, Ken Hansen, Fred Gardner, Bill Endersby Sr., and Charlie Charlton. Active pallbearers are Kim Currie, Shawn Campbell, Tim Dowling, Danny Endersby, Alex Bischke and Pat Schissler.
If friends desire memorial donations may be made to the Brooks Health Centre Memorial Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society.
