EDDY – W. Roy Eddy of Brooks, Alberta died in the Brooks Health Centre on March 17, 1992 at the age of 61 years.
He was born at Spokane, Washington, U.S.A. on July 9, 1930 and resided in numerous places before starting employment with 7-11 Stores in 1982 in Lethbridge. In 1984, he moved to Vancouver and in 1986 moved to Medicine Hat.
He married on January 18, 1986 and moved to Brooks in August of the same year to become assistant-manager of the Downtown 7-11 Store here with his wife Maria.
Surviving are his loving wife Maria of Brooks and children, Sharon Ann (Jack) of Calgary, Roy (Barb) of Calgary, Lynn (Grant) of Calgary, Greg (Val) of Calgary, John (June) of Brandon, Manitoba, Bruce of Ottawa, Terry of Calgary, Lorelei (Dwayne) of Vancouver, Shannon of Vancouver, Rob of Vancouver, Jay of Vancouver, Nataschja (Richard) of Brooks, John (Lanette) of Brooks; two brothers, Doug and Roger and families, a sister, Sharon and families, several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Roy will be sadly missed by all those dear to his heart.
Funeral service was held on Friday, March 20 at 2 p.m. in Brooks United Church with the Reverend Susan Lukey officiating. Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Richard and John and active pallbearers were Ray, Phil, Clay, Bob, Wilf and Gary.
