EDGERTON – Thomas Arthur Edgerton of Scandia, Alberta died at Brooks, Alberta on December 4, 1992 at the age of 77 years.
He was born at Hanley, Saskatchewan and was raised in the Farmington area just west of Hanley. He moved to Sedalia, Alberta, married in Drumheller on November 16, 1965 and moved to Scandia in 1974 where he had resided since.
He had farmed earlier in his life and then was involved in the oil industry first as a roughneck and later water hauling retiring in 1975 however he continued to haul water to local farmers.
He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, Gladys and Anna and a brother Carlos.
Surviving are his wife Mary of Scandia, a brother Jack (Angie) of Rocky Mountain House, two sisters Mary Hienaman of Leduc and Edna (Gordon) Laird of Saskatoon and many nieces and nephews among them Edith and John Prior of Brooks.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 11 at 2 p.m. in Brooks United Church with the Reverend David Robertson and the Reverend Susan Lukey officiating. Interment will follow in the Brooks Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Chris Vermeeren, Allan Sandau, Bruce Takeda, Eric Pedersen, George Fukuda and Don Jacobson.
