ELLIS – It is with great sadness that the family of Edith Jean Ellis, announce her passing at the Red Deer Nursing Home on Tuesday July 9th, 2002. Edith was born in Coleman and grew up in Barons, Alberta. She married Jack Ellis of HighRiver in 1942 and they lived in Brooks, Moose Jaw and again to Brooks, where Jack died in 1962. She is also predeceased by, 5 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law. Edith leaves to mourn her passing, daughter Jackie (Lorne) Wiggins of Red Deer, 2 sons, David (Glorene) Ellis of Stettle and Wayne (Tory) Ellis of Port Hardy, BC. Missing their grandmother are, John (Shannon) Wiggins of Blackfalds, Michelle Wiggins of Calgary, Carson and Calder Ellis both of Stettler and Blake Ellis of Port Hardy. Missing their great-grandmother are Jordan and Brooklyn Wiggins of Blackfalds. Edith also leaves three sisters-in-law, Marjorie Ellis of Calgary, Louise Ellis of Edmonton and Gen Ellis of High River, many nieces, nephews and a very special lifelong friend, Louise Chikinda of Calgary. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 16th from Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. Blaine Schaufele officiated. Interment followed at Brooks Cemetery.
