Hale, Margaret

HALE – Mrs. Margaret Hale, beloved wife of Chuck Hale of Brooks, passed away in Brooks on January 8th, 1998 at the age of 76 years.

Born in Butte, Montana on May 2nd, 1921 Margaret came to Canada at the age of 2 years with her parents to Lethbridge. She received her education there and graduated from Galt School of Nursing in 1943. She married Chuck in Lethbridge on June 15th, 1945 and they moved to Brooks and had resided here since. Margaret was a Charter Member of the OORP, Brooks and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, EID Legion, Brooks. She will be best remembered for her sense of humour, her intelligence and her forthrightness.

Margaret is also survived by her lov­ing children Earl and his wife Terry of Leader, Saskatchewan, Barbara Penner of Brooks, Jack and his wife Pat of Brooks, Judy MacDonald and her husband Owen of Nelson, B.C., Vivian Hale of Brooks, Sherry Smith and her hus­band Smitty of Red Deer, Cindy Raymes and her husband John of Fort McMurray, Laurie Oster and her husband Lawrence of Castlegar, B.C., and Chuck Jr. and his wife Tina of Calgary; 16 grandchildren; her sister Jean White and her husband Jeff of Vancouver and nieces and nephews.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12th from Smith Memorial Chapel. Kathryn Hemsing officiating  .
