HANKINS – Jeff Robin Hankins, beloved son of Garry and Debbie Hankins of Cassils, passed away suddenly near Brooks on August 28th, 1997 at the age of 20 years.
Born on September 2nd, 1976 in Medicine Hat, Jeff received all his schooling in Brooks graduating in 1994 from Brooks Composite High School. He attended Brooks Campus of the Medicine Hat College, University of Calgary and the University of Lethbridge, taking courses toward his Bachelor of Commerce Degree. He loved music, playing guitar, singing and spending time with his dog “Missy.” Jeff will be remembered for his sense of humour, joyful outlook on life and for his love of family.
Besides his loving parents Garry and Debbie, Jeff is survived by his sister Jodi and her friend Craig of Brooks; grandparents Jean and Orville Clarke of Swift Current and Ray and Helen Hankins of Cabri, Saskatchewan; uncles Kerry (Connie) Clarke and their children Lindsay and Landon of Innisfail, Don (Lori) Clarke and their son Mason of Lethbridge, Dave (Cheryl) Clarke of Calgary, Len (Lana) Hankins and their children Sarah, Amy and Erol of Saskatoon; aunts Gail and’ cousins Lori and Brian of Saskatchewan and Joyce (Dennis) Munt and their children Shawn, Sandra, Sharlene and their families of Outlook; his special friend Heather Dyck and his many, many friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 30th at 10:00 a.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church, Brooks. Rev. James Krause officiated.
Active pallbearers were Cory Springer, James Jensen, Craig Foote, Steven Trembecki, Shawn. Seitz and Mark Altwasser. Interment followed at Brooks Cemetery.
