Fabian, Orsula Sidona

FABlAN – Orsula Sidona Fabian died at her residence in Calgary on June 3, 1985 at the age of 79 years.

She was born at Savar, Czechoslovakia on October 12, 1905 and married there in 1927. She immigrated to Canada in 1929 to Raymond, Alberta and moved to Tilley in 1932 and farmed in the district with her husband. She moved to Calgary in 1956 where she has resided since.

She was a member of St.Elizabeth’s and later Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She was predeceased by her, husband, John in 1950 and a grandson, Perry Fabian in 1968.

Surviving are two sons, Vincent and his wife, Ann of Tilley, John and his wife, Evelyn of Sparwood, B.C.; five daughters, Mary and her husband, David Arigan of Huntington, West Virginia, Margaret and her husband, George Karman of Okotoks, Helen and her husband, Sam Kana of Calgary, Theresa and her husband, Bruce McLeIland of Brooks and Harriet and her husband, Ernie Manchur. of Prince. George, B.C.; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and relatives in Czechoslovakia.

Prayer service will be held on Thursday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Smith Memorial Chapel and the funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7 at 10:30 a. m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Reverend James Lynn officiating. Interment will follow in Brooks Cemetery.

Pallbearers are George Karman, Bob Karman, Todd Karman, Patrick Fabian, Larry Kana and Fred Manchur.

A memorial mass will be held at Holy Trinity. Catholic Church, 1525 – 45th Street S.E., Calgary on Monday, June 10 at 10 a.m.
